This sweet family of three welcomed me into their home for an hour to snap some photos of them doing life together. They have the sweetest little lady with the best hair I’ve ever seen.
I think these are the best kind of photos. The ones of you with your people in the place you call home at this point in time. Your garden, your babe’s bedroom, the chair you rock her in each night, and the front steps that welcome you home.
These are the sweet, sweet parts of life we’ll want to remember.
“Camp Chisomo is located in southern Malawi, a region that is rich in natural resources and cultural beauty. Camp Chisomo is established in the heart of the villages we have spent years working with in order to continue building relationships and implementing sustainable resources and practices.
Camp Chisomo provides an opportunity for stateside high school and college students to spend a summer as counselors, learning about the culture while running programming sessions for the children at camp. Campers are local children that have been nominated by village officials to attend, while stateside sponsorships allows campers to attend camp without the burden of financial responsibility.
Our camp facilities are intended to bring structure and safety to our campers, while providing them with the new and exciting experiences. Our staff are currently constructing our Staff Housing building, allowing our staff and counselors to reside on our land as we run camp programming and continue the construction of future buildings. Our future goals include cabins used as housing for counselors and campers, which will likely be the first time these children will sleep in a bed or under a mosquito net to protect them during the night. We desire to have a chapel that will be used each morning and night with campers, and a mess hall that will be used for meals and activities.”
We spent a few weeks this last November with the Camp Chisomo Team. We were able to capture the beginning stages of building on the Camp’s land while seeing some old friends. We love every thing camp stands for and we hope that you’d follow along with their journey!

When a dear friends asks you to adventure with her to Morocco while chasing some new business dreams….YOU SAY YES!!!!
Here is a look at our week in Marrakech, Morocco. A place that is extremely hard to put words to. They simply can’t do it justice. I hope these images spark your interest and encourage you to take a trip yourself!
Be sure to keep you eyes peeled for “Driftless Styles,” Kelsie Kunkle’s newest adventure!
Celebrating with Megan + Michael allowed us to come back to the place we said "I do!" almost three years ago and it was thee best of days. I could spend a lot of time trying to accurately describe this day, but I don't think there are enough words! Just this morning we ran into this groom's parents, and I tried to explain how much joy I had while editing this day! The beautiful community of family and friends that surrounded these two was an incredible thing to witness. Along with that the tip-of-your-toes kind of joy that consumed Megan + Michael thee entire day was thee absolute best to capture. Plus, these two were ushered into marriage with thee best sunset Iowa has to offer. It was magic. We are so thankful we were able to witness these two become Mr. + Mrs. Bowden- we'll be cheering them on for years to come!

I had the pleasure of capturing this sweet family preparing for Christmas! Lots of laughs, some paint, a few ornaments hung, and even a buzzlighter costume! The Hillebrand family is so much fun. I left feeling so encouraged and blessed to be brought into their home and to capture this point in time for them. Especially with Brad and Brooke's FIFTH anniversary being this month-hooray for that! I hope these brings some JOY to your day!

Since we got married in 2015, we have been real Christmas tree people. However, THIS was the first year that we actually went to cut down our own tree! We took a trip out to our local tree farm and I fell in LOVE. I could not get over how magical it was. I kept telling Neal we HAD to take someone's photo out there! Thankfully the timing was right & we got to take some long awaited photos of these two the next day.
Brad & Kate. The sweetest of humans. Capturing them amidst a busy season, filled with local gigs, packaging & shipping CDs, and Christmas preparations, still full of so much joy!
We are so grateful to call these two beautiful humans some of our very best friends. If you don't know them, we encourage you to catch them at their next local gig or on a Sunday morning at Orchard Hill Church.
1. We are huge fans of Sam & Katie. I’m thankful Neal was able to meet them & understand why I’m so thankful that our paths crossed back at the good ‘ol LMHS.
2. They wanted us to re-create their first photo together. One that was randomly snapped in 2010 on a high school choir trip to Disneyworld. So much foreshadowing!!!!
3. They're ridiculously fun & wise & hilarious together. We can’t wait to capture their first day as husband and wife!
